Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the LifePlanner website (lifeplnr.com) and app (lifeplnr-app.netlify.app), operated by Jason Chevalley, sole proprietorship trading as “LifePlanner”, Chemin de Marjovet C8, 1040 Échallens (VD), Switzerland (“we”). By using LifePlanner, you accept these terms. Purchases of the Premium subscription are also governed by our Terms of Sale.

The service

LifePlanner is a suite of 16 planning tools that runs in your browser. Three tools (Weekly Planner, 66-day Habit Tracker, Gratitude Journal) are free, with no account. The 13 other tools require the Premium subscription or the 3-day free trial, both of which need a sign-in with your e-mail address (one-time code, no password).

Your data

The content you create in the tools is stored only on your device (browser local storage) and is never sent to us. You are responsible for keeping a backup of it. See our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

All elements of LifePlanner (the HTML, CSS and JavaScript source code, the architecture of the tools, the design, the interfaces, the texts, the “LifePlanner” name and logo) are protected by Swiss copyright law (Federal Copyright Act, CopA, RS 231.1) and by international conventions. Computer programs are expressly protected as works (art. 2 para. 3 CopA). Jason Chevalley is the sole holder of these rights.

Licence

Using the free version, or subscribing to Premium for the duration of the subscription, grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence, limited to your private use. One subscription corresponds to a single user. No intellectual property is transferred.

Former one-time offers

Licence keys bought under former one-time offers (Gumroad or Shopify) remain valid under the terms that applied at the time of purchase. These offers are no longer sold.

Prohibitions

Without prior written authorisation, the following are prohibited: copying, reproducing, distributing, reselling, sharing, publishing or making available all or part of the tools; hosting or redistributing them on any other medium or website; modifying them for redistribution; decompiling or reverse-engineering them; circumventing, removing or disabling technical protection measures or the licence or subscription check; sharing an account, a licence key or a session with other people.

Enforcement

Any violation may result in immediate revocation of the licence without refund, as well as civil (art. 62 CopA) and criminal (art. 67 and 69a CopA) proceedings.

Availability & changes

We continuously improve LifePlanner and may change, add or remove features. We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. If a change materially reduces the Premium service, you may cancel your subscription with immediate effect and we refund the unused part of the current month.

Disclaimer

The tools are provided for personal organisation purposes. They do not constitute financial, medical, legal or professional advice. You remain responsible for the decisions you make based on their use.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and for personal injury. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. Your planning data is stored only on your device: we cannot restore it if you clear your browser data, uninstall the app or change device, so please keep a backup. Mandatory statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page, with its date, applies. Material changes affecting subscribers are announced by e-mail at least 30 days in advance.

Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Consumers may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence or of the seller's domicile (Échallens, canton of Vaud); the seller may sue a consumer only at the consumer's place of residence. For business customers, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Échallens (VD), Switzerland.
